Established in 1998 by Dimitar Kostadinov, Zagreus Winery – whose 120 hectares of organically farmed vineyards are located Bulgaria’s Central Thracian Valley – produces outstanding red varieties like Mavrud, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot, as well as a white version of Mavrud, Dimyat, Pamid, and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery’s philosophy is to grow the best grapes under the best possible conditions while also caring for the environment. Zagreus’ strong belief is that what happens in the vineyard and in their consciousness determines the behaviour in the bottle.
