While the family’s winemaking tradition in the Ivan Valley of Hungary’s Szekszárd region dates back four generations, János Németh is considered one of the area's young, up-and-coming producers. Farming around 10-12 hectares of vineyards (Ivan Valley, Porkoláb, Görögszó, Gyűszű, Decsi, Baranya, and Gurovica-tető) and utilising native yeast fermentation and Hungarian oak ageing, János specialises in fruity and spicy international reds like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah; traditional Szekszárdi cuvées like Bikavér (Kékfrankos, Kadarka and Zweigelt, Cabernet Franc); full-bodied Zweigelt; and juicy Riesling and Chardonnay.
