Winemaker: Zsirai Sisters
The dry Tokaj Furmint is a signature wine of the Zsirai winery and is produced from fruits selected from the best vineyards. Following a November harvest, the wine is aged in 220litre oak barrels for almost a year. With aromas and flavours of quince and pear, this is a beautiful example of a Tokaj dry furmint and well worth sampling.
Goes great with: Lasagne, bolognese and tomato based dishes, cold meats and salamis, garlic/herb dishes, roast pork and red meats. Well suited to complex dishes.
Winemaker: Zsirai Sisters
The vines that produced this Furmint were planted in the early 1970s on a red clay, rhyolite tuff and quartz soil in Mad’s Kozephegy hill.
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and macerated in their must before pressing and letting it spontaneously ferment in barrels.
Spicy on the nose with a touch of saltiness, aniseed and mint that needs to be aired a little to shine. Lively but balanced acidity and long on the palace, this wine is a truly unique and beautifully structured Furmint.
Winemaker: Gabor Kardos
Variety/Blend: Furmint, Harslevelu, Sargamuskotaly
A beautiful blend of Tokaj's grape varieties: Furmint, Harslevelu and Sargamuskotaly and a fine representation of the Mad terroir. A reductive, crisp, dry white wine with sweet fruit aromas of apple, pear and citrus, and a hint of Tokaj’s minerals. One of our favourites!
Goes great with grilled or baked salmon and tuna, grilled or roast chicken and turkey, barbecues, risotto, pasta dishes like carbonara, seafood in creamy white wine sauce.

A beautifully floral wine with obvious pleasurable hints of apricot, honey, peach and orange peel, backed by elegant mineral notes.
Elegant Bothrytis, 3 years ageing in oak. It is and will most definitely be winner of wine competitions – both nationally and internationally.
Enjoy it now or over the next 50 or so years.
