Croatia’s answer to Hungary’s flagship variety
Grape: 100% Pušipel (Furmint)
Year: 2021
Region: Međimurje, Croatia
Alc: 12,5% ABV
Size: 0,75 l
DK’s location in the Croatian Uplands not far from the Hungarian border means its continental climate is suitable for growing and making Pušipel, known as Furmint in Hungary. This medium-bodied, waxy white has plentiful acidity that reveals itself through lively flavours like lemon, lime, and green apple – and its lower alcohol makes it suitable for sipping solo or with a variety of lighter foods like grilled seafood, chicken, and salads.
Awards: 2019 Decanter World Wine Awards, 91 points – Silver (2018 vintage)
