Szamorodni is a rich bodied natural sweet wine with great balance. The partly botrytized grapes give special complexity to the wine, in which the aromas and flavours of fresh and dried fruits, citrus and gingerbread spices also appear. This concentrated wine has a significant potential for ageing.
The szamorodni is made only in the last period of the harvest of the outstanding vintages, when the assorted berries are no longer taken out of the bunch, but are picked, crushed, and pressed in hand presses at the end of harvest time, late november. The very high concentration of must ferments in local barrels. After ageing and bottling they wait for a year in bottle before the audience meets them.
