Tasting Notes:

This wine nicely reflects Tokaj's aromatic vintage of 2008. The nose is bursting with honey, citrus fruit, lychee and pineapple. The texture is soft and creamy, with notes of honey, allspice, vanilla, and ginger. The wine is nicely balanced; round with a medium body and a citrus-sweet finish that lingers on.

Goes great with desserts and sweet food, blue cheese

About the Winemaker:

Elizabeth Pracser planted her own vineyard in 1979 and bought her second family cellar, Erzsebet Pince, in 1989. She has been the managing director of the estate since 1999 and her daughter, Hajnalka Pracser, is a winemaker who has worked in St. Emilion and the Napa and Sonoma valleys. The central cellar of the estate is situated in the heart of Tokaj and has a long and interesting history. Built in the 1700s, it was used as a fermenting and aging cellar by the Russian Wine Trade Company which provided Tokaj wines to the court of Russian Tsars and Tsarinas. Nowadays it is used to impress visitors on wine tours. They cultivate indigenous Tokaj varietites on 30 acres of land, in vineyards that are historically classified as first and second class. They believe in natural farming and gentle winemaking techniques, with very little intervention, to produce wine of superb quality.
